Heart-Ache for others
I am just overwhelmed. I’m struck that while I’m working, or getting my hair cut, a friend is getting chemo, praying it helps keep her alive to raise her toddler.And, I’m struck that while I was living my busy life the other day, a woman with a breaking heart and tear stained face, was telling her granddaughters that her son, their father, died suddenly.The man was on Great Day last Friday. He won for his letter nominating his mom for our Great Day Mother’s Day contest. They were such dear people. He nominated his mom because of how she helped him care for his young daughters after his wife died of cancer 7 months ago. Now, Dad is gone too, suddenly. I’m just so sorry for the pain this family has been through, especially those little girls.I also ache for my old friend who’s only 40 years old and can’t stop cancer from growing in her body.
