Kim's Kale Smoothie
A lot of people are asking about that kale smoothie I’ve been making on Great Day for the past year. Sounds scary yucky. It’s delicious! The whole idea came about through my friend, Judy, who got a recipe from Dr. Mitra Ray. Dr. Ray is an amazing woman who’s working around the nation with Juice Plus helping people get healthier. I’m learning alot from her, and Judy who’s doing the same thing on a local level. Anyway, I took the original recipe and changed it a little. I drink it nearly every day and feel great. My kids love it too! This recipe fills a blender. You can save it in the fridge for about 24 hours.
Kim’s Kale Smoothie
3-4 Tablespoons of flax seed Meal
Kim’s Kale Smoothie
3-4 Tablespoons of flax seed Meal
3-4 Tablespoons protein powder ( I use Juice Plus Complete)
Big handful of chopped, fresh kale
1/2 Frozen Banana
A few cubes of frozen Mango, Pineapple and/or any frozen berries
Fill with water and enjoy! We top off our glasses with a little 100% natural juice like Grape or BlackberryBlend for added sweetness, but it's not necessary.
I’ll eat my greens this way everyday when it tastes this great.
Kale is a big cancer fighter, the Flax helps lower cholesterol and helps with digestion, so do the mango and pineapple.
Here’s to our health!
Peace, Kim

Thanks for the recipe, Kim! I've only used kale in salads and for kale chips... this is an easier way to sneak into my daughter's diet. I've been looking for a good green smoothie recipe and I actually have all those ingredients right now. :)
